I've only been to two Indian restaurants in Providence, and they're both about the same, so I'll use the same review for both (almost)!  Taste of India serves up great, authentic Indian cuisine at great prices, especially for lunch.  Taste of India is a small restaurant with an intimate, but authentic setting.  Great service, especially if they aren't crowded.  I felt like I was waited on hand and foot, and the staff is very friendly.  If you have to choose between Taste of India and India Cafe, toss a coin.  I found them identically good.  Hmm... I wonder if they are owned by the same person?
